2009 BET awards

After the death of Michael Jackson, the BET reorganized the award ceremony to pay tribute to this icon's life. it was held in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Beyonce made an appearance in a Balmain mini dress. she thanked Michael Jackson for being her teacher and hero. The colors are amazing, love love loveee it!

Kanye West looked great in Timberland's and a cream cardigan. he looks great. His girlfriend and model Amber Rose wore a hugging dress by Alexander McQueen with hot pink pumps.

It happens that singer Amerie wore the same dress as Amber Rose! What a coincidence. I think Amber wore it better, plus her awesome pink pumps made the dress.

Alicia keys shined in a stylish sheer green dress by Jenny Packham and strappy Louboutin sandals.
She wore a silver mini dress also by Jenny Packham for accepting her award. I like the silver dress more.

Estelle wore a mj-inspired glove with an Acne denim dress.

Zoe Saldana wore a white Calvin Klein dress with a front split and a cut out side. she paired it with Brain Atwood heels.
Cassie wore skin tight Mark Fast dress with black Giuseppe Zanotti boots. Her hair is half shaved off. I did not like it at all. Maybe the dress would've looked better if her hair wasn't shaved.

Latoya Luckett is working a Balmain dress and very cool Alejandro Ingelmo heels.

Ciara is wearing a leather ruffled dress from Cynthia Steffe and nude sandals. Not my favorite.

Adrienne Bailon from the Cheetah Girls is look lovely in a silky bubble dress, statement necklace and sexy sandals.
Singer Melody Thornton wore a very scandalous dress, that's so short her butt was hanging out... literally! i didn't know who she was either until i saw her wearing this butt baring Alexander McQueen dress. So not appropriate for the red carpet.

Summertime and the livin' is easyyy

I am so excited summer is finally here, which means its time for us to lay out in the sun and soak it in (only not at hours when the heat is unbearable!) and sip on some fresh juices and unwind.

These are just some essential stuff for the summer:

Green perini bow bikini is perfect for getting us ready for the summer. cute bow on the top, adjustable tie side bottoms, and its reversible from green to brown!! two in one, sounds good! price tag - 160 dollars for both! could be found on shopintuition.com

A great book to read by the pool or on the beach is Lauren Conrad's first novel, LA Candy. I couldn't get enough of the hills so i think the book is great. definitely a must read, and summer seems like the perfect timing. the fashionista and reality tv star talks about what its like to come of age in hollywood while starring in a reality tv show. she must know it best, since she experienced it all firsthand. Shes currently traveling across the united states promoting her book. kudos LC.

This next item could be a life saver. mini shemergency survival kit, a tiny convenient emergency kit thats small enough to be thrown in your handbag and contains many must have items such as lip balm, breath freshener, dental floss, tampon, deodrant, bandage and many more. perfect to carry with you just incase something unexpected happens! Its only 10 dollars and could also be found on shopintuition.com

For those planning to spend all summer by the pool, this wet bathing suit bag would probably come in handy. slip your wet bathing suit in the bag and put it back in your beach bag. it keeps your dry clothes separate from that wet bikini. it is perfect for an exotic vacation, a pool party or the beach. Its also very affordable and could be used more than once. it's only 20 dollars available on shopintuition.com

Have a great summer and dont forget to use sunscreen!!

Tips for every hair type

We know that some hair styles just don't work on certain hair types. Everyone should know how to handle and manage their hair type, be it straight, wavy, kinky or curly. getting to know how to handle your hair will definitely work for your advantage. Here are some tips for every hair type.

If you have straight hair:
**Consider bangs They lie perfectly in straight hair and instantly refresh your style, says Ruben Colon of Sally Hershberger Salon in New York City.

**Change up your hair color Highlights or lowlights add dimension and will swell the hair shaft, helping fine, straight hair appear thicker, says Erin Anderson of Woodley & Bunny Salon in Brooklyn, N.Y.

**For stay-put curls Comb a texturizing product into wet hair for grip, then rough blow-dry. Hit sections with hairspray before twirling them around a curling iron; finish with another light mist of hairspray.

If you have wavy hair:
** Avoid blunt cuts They eliminate body and give girls with otherwise gorgeous waves a funny pyramid shape, says Travis Speck of Bumble and Bumble Salon in New York City. Go for layers to maximize fullness.

**Be happy about humidity Moisture in the air actually pumps up waves. On drier days, use a diffuser to boost body, says celebrity hairstylist Harry Josh.

**To curb flyaways Smooth frizz serum on damp hair and wrap it into a tight bun; pin. When dry, take hair down and—voila!—hair will be frizz-free.

If you have kinky hair:
**Keep your ends fresh Don’t be afraid to scrunch in curl cream throughout the day. And if you’re trying to grow out your hair, get a trim every two to three months—go more frequently and you won’t see new length; go less often and your ends might dry out and break off.

**Don’t cut wet hair It’s too hard to tell how extreme curls and kinks will spring back. Always make sure hair is dry and straight before snipping to get a perfect all-over length, says celeb hair pro Anthony Dickey.

**Stay away from pressing combs A lot of women use them to straighten their hair—but they’re super hot and can singe strands, says Miko Branch, co-owner of Miss Jessie’s Salon in Brooklyn, N.Y. A safer way to get a sleek style: Blow-dry with a paddle brush, then smooth hair with a warm flat iron.

If you have curly hair:
**Never ever use a brush Your fingers are the only tools you’ll ever need for gorgeous spirals.

**Leave in some conditioner For an extra boost of hydration and a curling aid, just rinse out about 75 percent of conditioner in the shower. You’ll get away with using less styling product—or might be able to skip it all together, says curl expert Ouidad.

**For tons of shine Scrunch a pomade or serum like Jonathan Product Create Curl Curling Serum ($26, beauty.com) into hair.
